Hi, I'm Ainslee. I have been involved in raising and breeding dogs for almost a decade. I chose to raise Whippets when I stumbled upon Sinaj Sighthounds and was able to bring home my first girl, Tinka, and strike up an amazing mentorship with the breeder. I have learned so much in regards to breeding quality whippets focusing on conformation, health and temperament. Through her help and guidance, I have been able to develop my own program with foundation females that are a shining example of their breed.

I chose the name "Scintiller Sighthounds" because "Scintiller" (pronounced "san-tee-aye") means "to sparkle" and my goal is to provide your family with a puppy that is elegant and graceful, while maintaining their playful spirit; a puppy that is sure to bring the sparkle to your life.

Our Puppies

Scintiller Sighthounds' is committed to raising all our dogs and puppies in our home. I want to ensure they are well-socialized and ready for their new home with you. I may be new to Whippets, but I have a decade-long history in dog breeding. I strive to breed top-notch whippets and focus on health and temperament first, while also striving for beautiful confirmations and elegant silhouettes. I will provide you and your family with a well socialized puppy that is ready for their new adventure

Each puppy will come with their limited AKC registration paperwork, a 30 day free trial of AKC pet insurance, a microchip, a vet check, current vaccinations and deworming, a puppy pack (filled with food, toys, and a blanket) to ensure an easy transition and my support for life.

I want to make sure you're happy with not only my puppies, but my program as well. This puppy will be a member of your family for a long time and I want to be there for you on this journey as well!

Once you've decided that Scintiller is a good fit for you and your family, I'll send you a deposit contract to review PRIOR to placing your deposit. I ask for a $500 deposit to claim your spot on the litter (once the pregnancy has been confirmed or puppies are born) - $250 of this is nonrefundable and will cover administration costs, while $250 of this is refundable. The entire deposit can be transferred to another litter if needed. This deposit is then subtracted from the total cost of a puppy.

If you'd like to be placed on our waitlist prior to a pregnancy being confirmed, I ask for a $250 nonrefundable deposit. This ensures that you are among the first to know when pregnancy is confirmed, puppies are born and the ability to claim your spot before I announce the litter to the general public.

Our Process

Our puppies are not chosen based upon a picture. I want to make sure you have the puppy of your dreams; the puppy that puts the sparkle in your life! That means we're going to have a conversation, or many, about what you and your family are looking for in a puppy. I want to know what your lifestyle is like so I can help match you to a puppy that is going to fit within that lifestyle. This is the time for you to let me know the things that make your family tick! Are you active and wanting a puppy that will go for hikes and long walks? Maybe you have kids that are in sports and you want an outgoing puppy that wants to meet their teammates? Or does your family prefer a slower paced life?

Once you placed your deposit, I will let you know which pick spot you are - these are determined by the order in which deposits come in. I will keep a list on here so you if you forget, you can check back to see where you are in the litter. At 6 weeks, when personalities are starting to shine through, I will start our picks. I will video chat the first pick family and we will see the puppies and chat about which pups I think would be a good fit. Please note, I am not choosing a puppy for you. I am just here to guide you to puppies that I think would be a good match for your family. I've raised them and watched them grow and know all of their quirks. Once you've made your selection, I will update you on your puppy as they continue to grow. Puppies are then picked up at 10 weeks old.
